About the History and the People

The History and the People

How sweet, making wooden toys. The reality is it was not sweet and it was certainly not easy or simple. It involved sacrifice, risk and tragedy. The story unfolds into a simple drive to make things. My father was an inventor and a successful tool manufacturer, it looked good to me. No craft, no skill, a little money, but a college education in manufacturing... Finally in 1969 I found the craft industry and found a small giraffe puzzle that lead me into the making of wooden toys and the crafts industry.

Bank loans, more shophisticated equipment and machines, difficult markets which ranged widely over the United States. Two Mississippi Pearl River floods, two shop fires, recessions, and two divorces, all of which made this a great effort.
